Data Deletion Request Instructions for Ad Library in Marketingverse
This page provides guidance on how users can request the deletion of any data associated with their use of the Ad Library application.
1. Data Collection and Storage Policy
The [Your App Name] application is designed primarily to access and analyze publicly available advertising data via the Meta Ad Library API.
-
User Data Stored: We do not typically store personal information (PII) from individual Facebook or Instagram users. The only data we may retain related to your account is the secure Access Token required to run your automated workflows (managed securely within your n8n credentials).
-
Data Deletion: Since we do not store PII, the primary step for data deletion is removing the app’s access permission from your Meta account.
2. Procedure for Data Deletion (Revoking Access)
To request the deletion of any potential data linked to your account and to revoke the app’s ability to retrieve information on your behalf, please follow the steps below:
-
Log in to Facebook: Ensure you are logged into the Facebook account that authorized the Ad library application.
-
Go to Settings: Navigate to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Security and Login (or the most current equivalent, typically under Permissions > Apps and Websites).
-
Find the App: Locate Ad Library in the list of active apps.
-
Remove the App: Click Remove next to the application name.
Once you remove the app, the Access Token associated with your user ID will be immediately invalidated, and the application will no longer be able to make any requests on your behalf. Any associated data held by Meta will be handled according to Meta’s data retention policy.
